Accountant I / Accountant II

DSSP is looking to hire energetic, forward thinking, professionals for our Accountant I / Accountant II positions in support of the Department of the Navy located in the DC Metro area.

This position is currently working remote due to Covid restrictions. Candidates must be in the local to Washington, DC and be prepared to come into the office a few days a week once these restrictions ease. 

Employment Type: Full-time

Salary: $38k – $60k

Candidates will perform the following:

  • Communicate, coordinate, and perform facilitation between BSOs/SSPs, Auditor, external/internal stakeholders, and FMO-3 Audit Response Branch
  • Review of PBCs, Samples, Follow-ups, and Exceptions
  • Produce and update pertinent metrics reports and trackers, and other Ad-Hoc tasks assigned to report accurate metrics
  • Review, update Financial and IT PBCs, and maintain ARC Tool master lists

Requirements:

  • Secret Clearance 
  • 2 years of federal experience within the past 5 years 
  • 2 years of federal accounting experience 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

Qualified Candidates must:

  • Be Detail Oriented
  • Be able to Multi-Task in several capacities at once
  • Possess excellent Communication Skills
  • Accounting/Audit background preferred
