We are hiring an Operations Specialist (Compliance) to work in the Fort Meade, MD vicinity. Position location is subject to change based on central MD client's needs.
Required: TS/SCI with a Polygraph
Monitors and triages incoming work items, analyzes and compiles information to create new actions, routes actions to appropriate stakeholders, documents and tracks actions to completion, analyzes and summarizes key points relevant to government decision makers, organizes and relays government responses.
Depending on the level, the Operations Support Specialist shall possess the following capabilities:
- Maintain documentation (e.g., Standard Operating Procedure (SOPs), official responses to actions, tracking spreadsheets and databases, and decision memos) to be kept in Track-It, JIRA, Confluence, Siteworks, Corporate Data Repositories and shared directories
- Perform quality control on incoming requests, monitor, and process requests to closure
- Perform quality control on incoming work items
- Generate new actions based on incoming requests
- Communicate and coordinate actions with stakeholders
- Draft, format, and facilitate coordination of SPFs
- Analyze and summarize key points relevant to government decision makers
- Prepare meeting agendas, record decisions, track follow-on actions to closure
- Collect and compile information to report statuses and metrics
- Train new team members
- Assists in designing and creating web pages, data storage mechanisms and, documenting new and existing procedures
- Assists in the implementation of operating methods to improve processing, distribution of information, and process controls
Individual Capabilities/Experience Required:
Operations Support Specialist Level 1:
- Requires two (2) years of relevant experience and an Associate’s degree or one (1) year of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree. Two (2) years of relevant experience may be substituted for an Associate’s degree.
- Degree in Law, Business, Accounting, or a related field (e.g., Finance, Economics, Management and Information Technology) is preferred, but a degree in any field is acceptable.
- Relevant experience must be performing compliance, legal, auditing (preferably in the DOD or IC environment), or related work, and can also include working in an area directly related to the mission (e.g., collection, intelligence, cybersecurity).
Operations Support Specialist Level 2:
- Requires four (4) years of relevant experience and an Associate’s degree or three (3) years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree or one (1) year of relevant experience and a Master's Degree. Two (2) years of relevant experience may be substituted for an Associate’s degree.
- Degree in Law, Business, Accounting, or a related field (e.g., Finance, Economics, Management and Information Technology) is preferred, but a degree in any field is acceptable.
- Relevant experience must be performing compliance, legal, auditing (preferably in the DOD or IC environment), or related work, and can also include working in an area directly related to the mission (e.g., collection, intelligence, cybersecurity).
