We’re seeking a Software Engineer 3 (API Dev, ML Models) to join our team in Annapolis Junction, MD!
Active TS/SCI w/ poly security clearance required.
Position Description:
Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining a complex system of micro-services responsible for providing customer with up-to-date ML models. This includes developing the APIs for ingest feedback, developing the data controls required for compliant handling of the data, developing data storage and retrieval mechanisms, developing the ETL processes required for data preparation, developing the training jobs to keep the model up to date, developing the APIs for downloading the models, and developing the APIs for allowing the users to interact with the feedback they have provided. This is all being performed on a production-level application, requiring frequent customer support and management of developments via Kubernetes.
Requirements:
- Twenty (20) years experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
- Experience with containerization (docker, podman, etc)
- Experience with Python
- Experience with Java
- Experience with MongoDB (or AWS DocumentDB)
Desired Skills:
- Experience with Kubernetes
- Experience with Go
- Experience with AWS Services
- Experience with JavaScript (especially w/Angular)
- Experience with the MLOps lifecycle, regardless of actual models

Pay Range is determined by various factors such as education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific requirements; negotiable based on elected total compensation packages which include but not limited to paid time off, healthcare elections, and retirement. The projected compensation for this position is around $254,000.
