We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer 6 to support high-impact missions and complex system development efforts in a classified environment. This position applies advanced systems engineering expertise to all phases of the system lifecycle—from concept through retirement—ensuring alignment with ISO/IEC 15288 standards and mission objectives.
As a senior member of the engineering team, you will take a lead role in guiding technical design, managing process development, and mentoring other engineers while interacting with stakeholders and senior government officials.
Apply systems engineering principles across all lifecycle phases: concept, development, production, utilization, support, and retirement
Lead and support the development and delivery of work products across all ISO/IEC 15288 process areas
Analyze and evaluate technical alternatives and develop design recommendations
Provide oversight and coordination of engineering teams and contractors
Participate in and lead technical discussions with government customers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams
Supervise and mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on technical standards and best practices
Assist in performing and improving systems engineering activities across:
Technical Process Areas (e.g., requirements analysis, architecture design, integration, verification)
Project Process Areas (e.g., planning, risk management, configuration control)
Enterprise and Agreement Process Areas (e.g., acquisition, infrastructure management)
Contribute to trade studies, evaluations, and system readiness assessments
Identify, communicate, and resolve technical risks and issues

Minimum 20 years of systems engineering experience
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline
Demonstrated experience with ISO/IEC 15288 processes and lifecycle support
Strong understanding of technical trade-off analysis, system-level requirements development, and integration
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Active TS/SCI with Polygraph (required)
Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) or Intelligence Community (IC) programs
Familiarity with Agile/DevSecOps environments and model-based systems engineering (MBSE)
Prior experience leading technical teams and customer-facing engineering efforts
