Position Overview
X Technologies is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Professional to drive growth initiatives, identify new business opportunities, and expand our footprint in the defense and commercial sectors. This individual will play a key role in shaping the company's growth strategy, building relationships with key stakeholders, and leading proposal efforts to secure new contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve company growth objectives.
- Identify, pursue, and capture new business opportunities within the DoD and commercial markets.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, defense contractors, and industry partners.
- Lead the identification and qualification of Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and other government procurement opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop competitive proposals, white papers, and marketing materials.
- Track market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to align business development efforts with industry demands.
- Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking activities to enhance brand visibility and business connections.
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities, providing regular reports to executive leadership.
- Support contract negotiations and ensure smooth transition from business development to program execution.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or capture management within the defense, aerospace, or technology sectors.
- Proven track record of successfully winning government contracts and developing strategic partnerships.
- Strong understanding of the DoD procurement process, including FAR/DFARS regulations.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and present compelling business cases and proposals.
- Experience working with federal contracting vehicles (e.g., GSA, IDIQs, SBIR/STTR programs).
- Proficiency in CRM software and business development tools.
- Ability to travel as needed for business development activities.
