Jr/Mid Level Test Engineer
Location: Annapolis Junction, MD
Required: TS/SCI POLY
 

Junior Test Engineer: 2-7 years experience

  • Responsibilities:
    • Assist in designing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
    • Perform manual and automated testing of software applications to ensure they meet quality standards.
    • Identify, document, and report bugs, defects, and issues.
    • Collaborate with developers to understand software requirements and contribute to testing strategies.
    • Verify bug fixes and provide feedback on functionality and user experience.
    • Run regression tests to ensure new code changes do not negatively impact existing functionality.
    • Learn and use testing tools and frameworks under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Skills:
    • Experience executing Testing and Data Collection per plan
    • Producing associated Test Plans, Procedures, and Reports/Briefings, Data Management Plan
    • Experience working in an Agile software development environment
    • Experience generating technical documentation
    • Experience using Jira and Confluence
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established processes.
    • Eagerness to learn new testing methodologies, tools, and technologies.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with developers and team members.

Mid-Level Test Engineer: 7-14 years experience

  • Responsibilities:
    • Design and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and automated scripts for complex software applications.
    • Lead testing efforts on small to mid-sized projects, including functional, regression, and performance testing.
    • Develop and maintain automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
    • Identify, document, and manage defects throughout the software development lifecycle.
    • Work closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure testing aligns with business requirements.
    • Perform load and stress testing to assess system performance under varying conditions.
    • Mentor junior test engineers and assist in training them on testing best practices and tools.
    • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, testing tools, and frameworks to improve the testing process.
  • Skills:
    • Experience executing Testing and Data Collection per plan

    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in cross-functional teams.
