DevOps Engineer- telework

We are looking for a hands on Software Engineer 2 to join a large existing agency program. Come join a fast growing company, Infinity Advanced Solutions.

As a Software Engineer on our team, you'll perform the following functions:

  • Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features
  • Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments
  • Develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories
  • Develop or implement algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standards
  • Write or review software and system documentation
  • Serve as team lead at the level appropriate to the software development process being used on any particular project
  • Modify existing software to correct errors, to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance
  • Design, develop and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design
  • Design or implement complex database or data repository interfaces/queries
  • Oversee one or more software development teams and ensure the work is completed in accordance with the constraints of the software development process being used on any particular project

Required Skills:

  • Scrum lead experience is greatly desired
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot problems
  • Willingness to learn quickly and complete tasks as part of a team
  • Deep understanding of DevOps and CI/CD practices
  • Experience with Linux command line tools (cat, grep,sed, awk, etc)
  • Experience with Gitlab
  • Experience with AWS services, tools, and best practices
  • Experience with PostgreSQL Databases
  • Familiarity with container-orchestrated and management solutions, including but not limited to Docker, Kubernetes
  • Experience or knowledge of infrastructure as code solutions such as Terraform
  • Familiarity with configuration tools such as Ansible and/or Salt
  • Experience developing and deploying CI/CD scripts
  • Strong communication skills
Telework is authorized for this task. However, we like to see new team members come in 100% of the time until they are fully comfortable with the servers/systems. The team leadership must have a comfort level that the new team member has what they need to be successful from home. Entry level candidates generally require more time in the office

Education and Certifications

TS/SCI Polygraph Clearance Required

Fourteen (14) to Nineteen (19) years experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.

Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
