PLEX is seeking a Cloud Developer to support cutting edge work in the Annapolis Junction, MD area. PLEX is a proud EOE Employer, including disability/vets. Locations may include: Hanover, Annapolis Junction, and Columbia, MD.

Required Skills

• Design, deploy, and maintain cloud-based environments to ensure high availability and scalability.
• Develop and implement architectures including load balancing, fault tolerance, and cloud computing solutions utilizing infrastructure as code and configuration management systems.
• Utilize Docker, Terraform, and AWS to build and manage cloud infrastructure.
• Work within an agile development environment to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Support Department of Defense (DoD) or Intelligence Community (IC) projects and initiatives.
• Use tools such as Maven, JIRA, Launchpad, GitHub, Jenkins, EC2, and Unix basics to enhance development processes.
• Design and establish enterprise-wide Data Platform architecture, frameworks, and development standards.
• Prepare and deliver high-quality briefings for senior Federal Government leadership.
• Manage the data life cycle, including acquisition, discovery, sharing, consumption, synthesis, conversion, and disposition.
• Implement and ensure compliance with Authorization to Operate (ATO) Security measures, including authentication and authorization.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in cloud-based environment design and management.
• Strong background in high availability architectures, including load balancing and fault tolerance.
• Extensive experience with Docker, Terraform, and AWS.
• Familiarity with Maven, JIRA, Launchpad, GitHub, Jenkins, EC2, Unix basics, SQL, Splunk, and Node.js.
• Experience in agile development environments.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and present briefings to senior Federal Government leadership.
• Knowledge of the data life cycle and ATO Security practices.
• Relevant certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, DevOps, or Cloud certification are preferred.
• TS/SCI with polygraph
