Capture Manager

We are committed to expanding our reach within existing markets and exploring new opportunities, and we are seeking a highly qualified Capture Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities

 

  1. Capture Planning and Strategy:
    • Develop and execute thoughtful and compelling capture plans that align with the company's growth objectives.
    • Conduct thorough market research and competitor analysis to inform capture strategies throughout the lifecycle.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define win themes, pricing strategies, and customer value propositions.
    • Utilize the Client BD process to effectively guide capture efforts.
    • Identify teaming strategies and negotiate teaming agreements.
  2. Customer Engagement:
    • In coordination with Business Development, cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing customers and potential clients.
    • Engage with key decision-makers, understanding their needs, and tailoring capture strategies accordingly.
  3. Proposal Development:
    • Collaborate with the Proposal Manager and proposal development teams to identify proposal resources who can meet deadlines and exceed expectations.
    • Take an active role in proposal writing and review, ensuring proposals are compelling, with the requisite win themes and strategy infused throughout.
  4. Contract Award:
    • Develop negotiation strategies and participate in contract discussions.
    • Ensure a smooth transition from the capture phase to contract execution, working closely with project management teams.
  5. Team Leadership and Collaboration:
    • Lead and inspire cross-functional capture teams, ensuring all team members understand their roles and responsibilities.
    • Foster a collaborative and results-oriented environment, driving team cohesion and accountability.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of relevant and progressively responsible work in the areas of Capture and (preferably) Proposal Management.
  • Proven track record of leading and winning critical capture efforts for US government clients, awards in excess of $50m.
  • Ability to conceptualize an appropriate, tailored win strategy and see it through to fruition.
  • Strong familiarity with the Shipley Process or similar industry-leading capture methodologies.
  • Exceptional written expression and proposal writing savvy.
  • Familiarity with AI software to drive capture and proposal efficiency, where appropriate.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Natural ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Willingness to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Additional Information

  • Location: Remote arrangement acceptable with willingness to travel as business needs dictate.
  • Anticipated Travel: Roughly 10-20% based on candidate’s location.
