Summary of Position
A Senior Electrical Engineer at E-Spectrum Technologies is a leadership position in hardware and software development pertaining to Electrical Systems.  As an engineering team lead, you will lead small teams of engineers in the analysis of electrical circuits for use by the USAF.  Approximately 70% of the engineering work is related to the electrical analysis, design, and test.  The remaining 30% is devoted to the documentation.  This position requires an individual eager to perform and produce, taking on increasing responsibilities.  The Senior Engineer shall lead, develop, design, review, test, and deliver one or more projects as needed.

  • Up to 10%

Essential Job Requirements:
  • Lead team of engineers in the analysis of electrical circuits.
    • Develop a plan to evaluate the aging issues related to Circuit Card Assemblies.
    • Tear Down avionics hardware to determine aging issues, component failure modes, and analysis.  Ensure project is on schedule.
    • Evaluate electrical hardware for reliability and performance.
    • Design prototype test fixtures, harnesses, and interface adapters to test avionics equipment.  Verify and approve designs of engineering team members.
    • Develop in-house electrical tests for circuit card components.
    • Organize data, evaluate results, and write final report.  Most projects require a final engineering report so technical writing skills are a definite requirement.
  • Lead team of engineers in the development of state of art Automated Test Stations that test avionics hardware.
    • Design Test Stations consisting of commercial off the shelf instrumentation.
    • Design Interface Test Adapters and cabling from Test Station to Unit Under Test.  Verify designs of engineering team members.
    • Integrate hardware and verify/debug software (LabVIEW) to ensure proper functionality.
  • Able to handle demanding fast-paced environment.
    • Produce quality material including schematic diagrams, engineering documentation, Test Plans, and Engineering Reports.
    • Must possess excellent technical writing skills.
    • Additional duties as required when needed.

Required Experience:
  • Over 10 Years of Experience
  • Experience with electrical hardware design and software development.
    • Expert in Analog and Digital Circuits.
    • LabVIEW programming preferred.
    • Familiar with Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel,
  • Must be expert in the use of Digital Multimeters, Oscilloscopes, Power Supplies (AC & DC), and Function Generators.

Education Required:
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or higher engineering degree.

Certification Required: None required but LabVIEW certification is a plus.

Additional Highly Desired Skills:
  • LabVIEW, CVI, C, C++.
  • Familiarity with National Instruments products, AutoCAD.
  • Previous electrical troubleshooting skills within US military.

Physical Requirements:  Ability to lift 25 lbs.

Security Clearance Required: None required but must possess ability to obtain Secret Clearance.
