Cyberspace Policy Analyst

Location: Ft. Meade, MD, USA

Founded in 2009, Strategic Venture Consultant Group (SVGC)  combines an ability to solve problems with technical knowledge and strong execution to help clients achieve success in their most critical missions. We are hiring professionals to help in supporting long-term war time combat command real time operations in Fort Meade. This is a new and high profile contract cybercom J5 contract, that has just ramped up. 


Key Role:
  • Apply technical expertise to executive-level projects and analyze and assess the development of future strategies, policies, and doctrines governing Cyberspace operations.
  • Analyze interagency and coalition policy formulations on Cyberspace issues, ensuring authorities, concerns, and combatant command equities are accurately represented.
  • Conducts research, analysis, development, and coordination of strategy, policy, and doctrine for cyberspace operations at the national, DOD, Service, and Command level
  • Provides technical expertise on executive-level projects, analyzes, assesses, and develops future strategies, policies, and doctrines governing cyberspace operations
  • Supports interagency and coalition policy formulations on cyberspace issues, ensuring authorities, concerns, and equities are accurately represented
  • Maintains awareness of and reports significant cyber-related policy issues affecting the DOD and USCYBERCOM
  • Provides concise, actionable communications to senior officials, both written and orally
  • Performs analysis and critical thinking, assesses programmatic issues, conducts risk analysis, and proposes innovative and achievable solutions 

Basic Qualifications:

-5 years of experience as a Cyberspace policy analyst
-Experience with developing reports and briefings on policy, strategy, and doctrine activities
-Experience with analyzing policies on Cyberspace issues and researching authorities, concerns, and equities to ensure accurate representation
-Knowledge of existing Joint Cyberspace policies


Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with providing background support and current status for documents and presentations
-Ability to plan and prepare for interactions with researchers and policy makers
-Ability to pay strict attention to detail
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-Possession of excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
-BA or BS degree in CS, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or a related field preferred; MA or MS degree a plus


Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
